Conversation with Nicodemus

Nicodemus is a member of the ruling Jewish council. He is impressed by Jesus, and pays him a visit. But he does so secretly, at night, so that the other religious leaders, who are mostly hostile towards Jesus, don't see it. They talk about spiritual things; Nicodemus is mystified, and asks questions; Jesus is astonished that a teacher of Israel would not know, and ends up explaining things that were beyond Nicodemus's comprehension at the time.
